Our discussion at the Leadership Team meeting on Tuesday night was lively and encouraging.
One agenda topic: our proposed Statement of Faith. Crafting the Statement helps us think our way through the reasons for our existence as a fellowship of Christian Scientists. The open conversation about the Statement’s wording helps us clarify motives and be alert to misguiding language. About half of us had read the message from the Christian Science Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of The Christian Science Publishing Society, published in the January Journal; that also provided a valuable guide for our discussion.
